Walgreens and Take Care Health Systems are offering an initiative to offer free health care services, for minor conditions, to all of its current and future patients who lose their jobs after March 31 and have no health insurance. Spouses, domestic partners and children also qualify if they do not have their own health insurance.
The Take Care Recovery Plan includes treatment of:
• Respiratory illnesses, such as colds, sinus infections, bronchitis and strep throat.
• Common conditions, such as seasonal allergies and pinkeye.
• Skin conditions, such as dry skin, poison ivy, minor skin infections and burns.
*Health evaluations, vaccinations, physicals and injection and infusion administration are excluded from the offer.
Individuals must prove they are receiving or will receive government unemployment benefits in order to qualify for the free services. If a participant finds a new job or health insurance, that person and his or her family will no longer qualify.
Services are available Monday through Friday
Hours: 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Qualifying patients can use the free care services for the rest of 2009, or until they find a job or obtain health care benefits.
