The August Back-to-School Program provides uniforms, new shoes, underwear, personal-care items, back packs and school supplies for children. In recent years we've helped over 600 children each year start school with a healthy attitude.

This year, we did things a little different with the “Back-to-School” Program! For the first time ever, we  condensed it to only one week! We also did not require clients to sign up by appointment, but rather managed to assist by first come, first serve from July 30-August 4, 10:00-2:00. Due to limited space, we  also had it in a different location. Lockland Church of Christ (located across the street) was gracious enough to open up one of their neighboring little white houses for this program.

We dispensed shoes, backpacks, and school supplies and personal hygiene products from the little white house. Clothing was handed out at the center. With this change came the need for many hands!! We had 48 wonderful volunteers help us with this program! We served 622 kids this year. That equals out to about 100 kids a day! That is a record! It is pretty amazing, considering we condensed this to only one week and did this by first come, first served. The first day, we helped 279 kids! Please call Marne Kappes to reserve your spot for next year! 513-821-3233
