Make your own FlashCards at:  FlashcardMachine.com

This is a web application that enables users to create interactive web-based study flash cards and share them with others.

Students — Create flash cards to help you study for your next exam. Make them publicly available and your classmates can study from the same set.

Teachers — Create flash cards for your students. Build customized pages for each of your classes to better organize your cards.

All you need to register is an email address.  Once you make your cards print them, review them online or send them to your ipod to study.

Online Homework Help

Anyone who has tried to help their child with a last minute report or project, and tried the internet for help, may have found that it is not always that helpful. Many internet sites that appear to be educational are really only selling something. Other sites are totally inappropriate for anyone not getting a degree in nuclear physics - e.g., your 8th grader.

You could try Google, but who wants to sort through 800 possibilities at midnight! Here are some trustworthy (free) sites that have a good track record with students.

http://www.infoplease.com/ (Beware of annoying pop ups but great information)

http://www.ipl.org/ The Internet Public Library comes from the University of Michigan library science program.

http://www.kidsclick.org/ This site is a collection of educational links chosen by librarians.
