Online Homework Help
Anyone who has tried to help their child with a last minute report or project, and tried the internet for help, may have found that it is not always that helpful. Many internet sites that appear to be educational are really only selling something. Other sites are totally inappropriate for anyone not getting a degree in nuclear physics - e.g., your 8th grader.
You could try Google, but who wants to sort through 800 possibilities at midnight! Here are some trustworthy (free) sites that have a good track record with students.
• http://www.infoplease.com/ (Beware of annoying pop ups but great information)
• http://www.ipl.org/ The Internet Public Library comes from the University of Michigan library science program.
• http://www.kidsclick.org/ This site is a collection of educational links chosen by librarians.
