Adult Services helps people 18 years old and older who are experiencing emotional distress or serious mental illness. Our goal is to help people recover and improve their quality of life.

General Information:
The Child and Family Treatment Center provides comprehensive behavioral health services to infants, children, adolescents (i.e., ages 0 to 18) and their families, in a variety of settings. Our goal is to assist children to be emotionally and developmentally prepared so they can be successful in their school and home environments.

Children’s Diagnostic Center was founded in 1975, and merged with Central Clinic in 2004. Now called CDC Mental Health Services, CDC provides psychological testing and behavioral health services to children, families and adults.
Our goal is to provide clients families and referral sources with comprehensive information regarding educational, community and family functioning, psychological issues, as well as addressing mental health and/or substance abuse treatment needs.

Court Clinic is one of eleven certified Forensic Centers in the State of Ohio that provides evaluations for the criminal courts of Hamilton and Clermont Counties. Court Clinic also provides Court Liaison services to the Hamilton County Criminal Courts.
Available Services:
The Court Clinic’s Treatment Unit provides mental health services to Hamilton County residents. Treatment services:

Admission Criteria:
For Court/Probation Department evaluation services:
18 years of age or bond over to Adult Court, a resident of Hamilton or Clermont Counties and be referred from the Courts or the Hamilton County Probation Department.
For treatment services:
18 years of age, involvement with the Court systems we serve, and a resident of Hamilton County;
A presenting mental health and/or substance abuse problem;
Treatment services may be requested by an individual, parent or guardian, may be court-ordered, or may be a condition of bail or probation;
Co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorder for Alternative Interventions for Women program

MHAP strives to provide support, care and connections for individuals, couples and families who need mental health services. The primary functions include:

Available Services:
Mental Health Access Point (MHAP) is the front door or access to community mental health services in Hamilton County. It provides:
Diagnostic assessment

Medical somatic
Transitional Community support provider services to both children and adults

Hamilton County resident
Symptoms suggesting the person may have a mental health diagnosis
Additional Information:
MHAP operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer calls and connect clients to appropriate services.

General Information:
Prevention Services provides early identification of children birth to 18 who are at risk of experiencing abuse or social-emotional developmental delays. We provide early intervention to strengthen protective factors to reduce these risks and increase children’s school readiness.
Available Services:
Parent Training Programs to provide necessary tools to promote positive communication and interaction between parent and child
Early Outreach Identification (Childreach) delivers consultation and early intervention services to children age’s birth to five, their parents, and caregivers at child care sites.
School Outreach Services includes on-site, individual or group intervention to children in grades K-12 and their families, and consultation to teachers in the school setting.
Training on mental health topics for the general public and professionals.
Admission Criteria:
Prevention services are provided primarily to students, parents and teachers before a diagnosis is made, in an effort to prevent the need for further treatment. The services are designed to be short-term and community-based and may provide a referral linkage to further treatment if necessary.
Students showing early signs of emotional issues that are leading to academic and school attendance problems in school, pre-school or child-care settings.
Parents, teachers and other child-serving professionals needing training about mental health and/or parenting issues.
Professionals needing training about infant mental health.
Additional Information:
Prevention Services are not usually delivered to students already diagnosed with a mental illness and in treatment.
