Children's Services
Children's Services at CCHB meets the mental health needs of children and families in the community. Children and families are identified and referred for services primarily by schools, private physicians and adult serving programs within the agency. In addition to diagnostic assessments, treatment planning and therapy that is complimentary to to the client needs, collaboration is emphasized to encourage ongoing community supports and the support of other natural settings for the continued well being of children and families.

Community Support Program
The Community Support Program at CCHB is comprised of five teams of community workers, formerly referred to as case managers. This program serves approximately 1,000 consumers who suffer from severe mental disorders. Services provided include psychiatric and nursing evaluation, and monitoring of psychiatric medications and regimens. The support workers provide any service or referral required to meet a consumer need. A primary goal of this service is to assure that these consumers are assisted to remain stable in the community and out of inpatient or other acute/high intensity services.

Drug Services
CCHB's Drug Services employs professionals who specialize in providing services for chemically dependant individuals. Our program successfully treats opioid addicts by providing methadone treatment. We also treat patients who are dependant on other substances such as cocaine, tranquillizers, alcohol, etc., through our "Drug Free" counseling program. Our innovative treatment approaches match specific levels of care with the individual clients need.

Early Prevention and Intervention (EPIP)
The HIV-Early Prevention and Intervention Project is a collaborative service of CCHB and the Cincinnati Drug and Poison Information Center. The focus of EPIP is training and education to chemical dependency treatment staff and identified client groups, to aid in preventing the transmission of HIV, other sexually transmitted diseases (STD's) and tuberculosis (TB). EPIP services include risk assessment, anonymous HIV antibody testing, pre and post testing counseling, case management, client education, staff training, advocacy and system development.

Geriatric Services
CCHB offers specialized mental health services for persons over the age of 55 through the Geriatric Outreach Program (GOP). Staff members have specialty training and experience in treating mental health issues that develop late in life. Services are generally provided in-home with physician visits also included. Evaluation and treatment planning, counseling, medication management, advocacy and referral are typical client services. Staff are available for consultative and education request from other professionals or the general public. The GOP continues to provide the psychiatric screening for prospective nursing facility residents in Hamilton County in conjunction with the council on aging and the Ohio Department of Mental Health.

Partial Hospitalization (Adult Day Treatment) and Crisis Stabilization Center
CCHB's Partial Hospitalization Program is a psycho-social center that offers group therapy, medication evaluation, recreational activities, art therapy, and community outings. The goal of the program is to prevent hospitalization of consumers and to facilitate their ability to reside independently in the community through the enhancement of their daily living skills.
The Crisis Stabilization Program provides treatment and structured living arrangement to individuals experiencing severe stress in their current environment. The program serves as an alternative to hospitalization for individuals exhibiting psychotic behavior and for persons assessed as incipiently psychotic. Consumers treated at the center are engaged in a full schedule of treatment activities to assist them in making a smooth transition back into the community.
