Medshare Program
MedShare makes prescriptions available to many people who cannot afford to buy them. If you need help, bring your written prescriptions to a Jordan Health program site and complete an application. If the prescriptions are included in our list of available medications (called the formulary), we will send the scripts to MedShare and your prescriptions will be sent in the mail in about a week. A few medications cannot be mailed and you will need to pick them up at a Jordan Health program outreach site.
If your prescription is not on the formulary list, the site coordinator at the Jordan Health program can give you a list of available prescriptions from our formulary. You can ask your doctor if medications on this list would be suitable for you.
You can view the current Medshare Formulary here:/Documents/medshare_formulary.pdf
You are eligible for MedShare if you:
Have no medical insurance
Have a traditional Medicare plan with no prescription benefit
Have an HMO Medicare plan with a prescription benefit that is used up
Have a medical card (Medicaid)
If you have a medical card (Medicaid) you will not pay any co-pay for receiving your prescriptions, but you will have the convenience of having them sent in the mail.
All other people will be asked to pay a co-pay for prescriptions
