Helping clients maintain their dignity and self respect is of the upmost importance to Haircuts from the heart.

Hours of Operation:

 

  • Open: Monday through Thursday
  • Hours:  9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Closed for lunch 12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • "Waiting time" is usually less than 30 minutes

Cost:

 

  • Must be referred through the voucher program to obtain services.  There are over 170 Social Service agencies and 24 schools who participate in this program.

 

Who is served:

 

  • Men, Women, seniors and pre-schoolers are served
  • Salon Stylists can work professionally with hair of all races.
  • Income must be in the 100% poverty level
  • School children are not serviced in the Salon during school hours.
  • Persons needing hair care just prior to job interviews or first day at jobs are welcomed

 

Services: 

 

  • Haicuts, shape-ups, beard trims, shampoo & set, shampoos, perms and relaxers

 

Appointments:

 

  • Appointments need for Perms and Relaxers only.  Walk in status for other services

 

How Often:

 

  • There must be 6 weeks between haircuts (received from anyone, salon, barbershop)
  • There must be 3 months between chemical services (perms,relaxers)
