Taking the First Step: “1 Year at 1 Job"

Would you like to make a better life for you and your family? If so, Cincinnati Works is the place for you! Cincinnati Works is not a placement agency or temporary service. We are an organization that is committed to helping you improve your life, gain full-time employment and achieve economic self-sufficiency.

What does that mean to you? It means that you will build the skills you will need to find and keep a good job with benefits. It means that you will be able to provide for your family, pay your bills and save money all with your paycheck. You will no longer need public assistance.

Sound too good to be true? It’s not. Our motto is “1 Year at 1 Job.” Cincinnati Works offers many services such as job readiness training, interview preparation, legal services, counseling, spiritual guidance and mentors to help you take that first step in creating a better life for yourself. All of these services are offered at no cost to you.

Become a Cincinnati Works’ Member

If you are interested in learning more about Cincinnati Works and/or becoming a Member, we invite you to attend an Information Session at our office. At the Information Session, you will learn about our services, eligibility guidelines, mission and process of helping you find employment, reach economic self-sufficiency and break the cycle of poverty in your life.

Information Sessions – No appointment necessary
Monday – Friday at 10:00 a.m.

If you like what you hear at the Information Session, the next step is to complete an application and meet one-on-one with a member of our staff to determine your eligibility for our program. If you are eligible, you will be registered for our one-week workshop. Attendance and successful completion of this workshop are required. There is no cost to attend the workshop.

Weekly Job Readiness Workshops (Must attend the Information Session first)
Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

If you are not eligible to participate in our program, we will provide you with referrals to organizations that can help you with your job search, housing and social service needs.
